Pool remodeling in Sunland Springs VillageThe City of Mesa lists constructing or filling in an inground swimming pool as work that needs a construction permit. Its pool submittals call for a dimensioned site plan, engineer-sealed drawings, and electrical, plumbing and mechanical plans. When a remodel changes the shell, plumbing or wiring, we confirm the scope with the City and file before work starts.
The City of Mesa's pool barrier brochure says all pools must be enclosed by a barrier, with the top at least 5 feet above grade. Gates must open outward, away from the pool, and be self-closing and self-latching. A remodel is a good time to check that your fence and gates still meet those rules.
